webcamSHIELD is a privacy shield for MacBook (Pro & Air) that is designed to protect your privacy while using your device. It is thin, soft, small, reusable, tear-resistant, and has a discreet design. It eliminates the need to use unsightly Post-it notes and does not leave any residue on your device. The shield is made of a soft material that is better for protecting your device’s display than hard plastic. It is specifically designed to fit MacBooks (Pro & Air) and is not thicker or larger than necessary. The shield is also easy to remove for cleaning and comes in black matte and black glossy options.

webcamSHIELD is deliberately more filigree, smaller and thinner than other camera covers, since the installation space in new laptops is becoming more and more compact. Therefore, placing it requires some fine motor skills - but the advantage of this is that only the webcam itself blocks without important components to the left and right of it (brightness sensor / true tone sensor 🟠 and status LED 🟢).

The variants „Black Matte" and „Black Glossy" differ visually in that the glossy variant is most similar to the display surface and is therefore least noticeable. In return, it is difficult to see where you can grab the glossy version in low light and possible fingerprints remain more visible. 

"Space Silver" visually matches the case color of MacBooks and has the advantage that you can clearly see where the webcamSHIELD is located and where the edge is to grab.

The variant "Multicolor" contains 1x "Space Silver", 1x "Black Gloss" and 2x "Black Matte". 

Although it can be used with a smartphone or iPad, a webcamSHIELD can also be moved by pushing the devices into narrow pockets or sleeves and is therefore not recommended.
